PTFE glass cloth tape has a brown woven glass cloth backing with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). This tape provides a slick surface on process machinery and offers an extremely low coefficient of friction which, in combination with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, creates a non-stick surface that performs at elevated temperatures.

Overview
PTFE glass cloth adhesive tapes come with a high-quality silicone or acrylic adhesive for outstanding performance. The PFTE coating provides optimal release, dimensional stability, and outstanding heat resistance (silicone, 500° F; acrylic, 350° F). PTFE adhesive tapes have low friction and function well as electrical insulation. Also available in PTFE glass cloth zone tape, which has custom-coated adhesive zones.
Applications
Transformer & Electric Motors
PTFE Tapes are used in the electronics industry in one of two ways, either for insulation of wiring (for dry cell transformers, AC/DC electric motors, or AC/DC electric diesel engines).
PTFE Glass Cloth Tape for Heat Sealing Machines
Resistant to most chemicals, this reinforced PTFE tape provides a quick and durable solution to help reduce build-up on the packaging and heat-sealing machines. It functions as a longer-lasting, anti-stick or easy-release medium between surfaces where pressure, temperature changes, and other factors may create a measure of adhesion. PTFE is chemical resistant and can be used as a temporary chemical barrier. The tape has a wide temperature use range, from -100°F/-73°C to 500°F/260°C, making it suitable for a variety of high-temperature applications.
PVC Window Manufacture
The manufacture of PVC Windows generally involves sections of PVC frame material that are heated and welded together to form the finished window frame. PTFE Glass Tape or Fabric applied to the weld plates, allows rapid heat transfer from the heat plate to the PVC sections while preventing melted PVC from sticking to the plate surface. This results in a clean weld, a clean surface on the weld plate, and faster, uninterrupted window production.
